Android Phone Stuck on Boot Screen — How to Fix

0

What Is an Android Boot Loop?

Your phone starts, reaches the boot animation, then restarts and repeats — never reaching the home screen. Caused by a corrupted system update, bad app install, or storage failure.

Fix 1: Force Restart

Hold the Power button for 10–20 seconds until the phone powers off completely. Wait 10 seconds. Power on normally.

Fix 2: Boot into Safe Mode

Hold Power → Long-press “Power Off” → Tap “Safe Mode.” Safe Mode disables all third-party apps. If your phone boots in Safe Mode, a third-party app caused the loop — uninstall recently installed apps.

Fix 3: Wipe Cache Partition

Power off → Hold Power + Volume Down (varies by device) to enter Recovery → Select “Wipe Cache Partition.” Clears system cache without deleting user data. Highly effective after failed OTA updates.

Fix 4: Factory Reset via Recovery (Last Resort)

Recovery → “Factory Reset / Wipe Data.” This deletes all user data. Only do this if you have a backup or the phone is completely unusable.

Fix 5: Flash Stock Firmware

If recovery is also broken, flash the manufacturer’s official firmware via a PC tool (Samsung Odin, Xiaomi MiFlash, etc.). Requires downloading the correct firmware for your exact model number.
