TikTok Videos Not Loading — How to Fix

0

Why TikTok Videos Stop Loading

Almost always caused by slow internet, an overloaded CDN, corrupted app cache, or an outdated app version.

Fix 1: Test Your Internet Speed

TikTok HD videos need at least 10 Mbps. Run a speed test at fast.com. Connect to a stronger Wi-Fi if below 5 Mbps.

Fix 2: Clear TikTok Cache

Open TikTok → Profile → Menu (☰) → Settings and Privacy → Free Up Space → Clear Cache. Most effective single fix for buffering.

Fix 3: Toggle Wi-Fi Off and On

Disconnect from Wi-Fi, wait 10 seconds, reconnect. Forces a clean connection to the router.

Fix 4: Update TikTok

App Store or Play Store → search TikTok → Update. TikTok regularly pushes CDN and streaming fixes in minor versions.

Fix 5: Check Server Status

During outages, videos fail to load globally. Check Twitter/X for #TikTokDown to confirm.

Fix 6: Enable Data Saver

Profile → Settings → Data Saver → Enable. Forces lower-resolution streams that load faster on slow connections.
