Failures can come from Discord outages, Midjourney server load, subscription issues, or prompt policy violations.
Fix 1: Check Status Pages
Visit discordstatus.com and status.midjourney.com.
Fix 2: Check Your Subscription
In Discord, type /info to the Midjourney Bot. Check remaining Fast Hours. At zero, generations queue as Relax or fail.
Fix 3: Simplify Your Prompt
Complex prompts with many style modifiers can time out. Also avoid banned keywords — Midjourney silently drops policy-violating jobs.
Fix 4: Use /imagine in Direct Message
Open a DM with the Midjourney Bot and run your prompt there. DM jobs often complete faster than server channels.
Fix 5: Restart Discord
Quit Discord completely (Task Manager on Windows, Force Quit on Mac), reopen, and rerun your prompt.
