X (Twitter) Account Suspended — What To Do

0

Types of X/Twitter Suspensions

Temporary suspension (12–72 hours for spam-like behavior), locked account (requires verification), and permanent suspension (policy violation).

Fix 1: Identify the Suspension Type

Log in to x.com. “Your account has been locked” = verification hold. “Your account is permanently suspended” = policy violation.

Fix 2: Complete Verification (Locked Accounts)

X will ask you to verify your phone or email. If you no longer have access to that contact, go to Settings → Your Account → Change phone number before appealing.

Fix 3: Submit an Appeal

Go to help.twitter.com/forms/general → Appeals → fill in username and explanation. Be factual and brief.

Fix 4: Wait for Review

X typically responds within 3–7 business days. Check your registered email. Do not submit multiple appeals — duplicates slow down review.

What Not To Do

  • Do not create a second account — ban evasion results in both accounts being suspended
